It has been such a long time since the last time we have our vacation which i can’t even remember where n when.  So after waiting months and months and organizing vacation here and there, it was comforting to arrive at Fraser’s Hill just before the Chinese New Year.

It was an exciting journey though i feel pening2 sometime. Pelik jugak coz before this selalu naik Cameron n Genting takde pulak rasa camtu. Maybe sebab juz 2 of us, so relax n takde rush langsung, we can simply stop anywhere we like juz utk amek gambar small2 things macam pokok-pokok yang pelik, air yang kuar kat celah-celah bukit, pucuk2 buloh n beruk-beruk tepi jalan. Disebabkan jakun sgt ngan beruk-beruk tu, sekor beruk sempat lompat bertenggek kat side mirror keta… seb bek tingkap tak bukak. Hehehe… sayang tak sempat snap this incident coz terkejut. Hehehe…  but its so fun.

We reach the Fraser’s Hill Gate (The Gap) around 10.30 am. Here, we noticed that going up the ‘Gap’ are odd hours, so we have to wait until 11.00 am to continue our journey. So we juz park and lepak. It was misty outside but i believe it was actually the cloud. Pernah nampak puncak bukit yang diselaputi awan? Juz imagine korang berada kat atas tu, n menda yang korang rasa kabus tu actually ialah awan. So we turn the air cond off and open the window so that we can breath the fresh air outside.

The last time i went to Fraser’s Hill was back in 1990++. Can’t remember. But must be so long ago. All i can remember about this place is the clock tower in the town centre. And it’s still there… the same.

Sadly, most of places at Fraser’s Hill were temporarily closed for renovation. Really really no place to walk around. Makcik yang jual jagung kat kedai tepi kedai makan tu cakap may be sampai May. Oyyo! Anyway, according to the map of Fraser’s Hill yang ada kat merata tempat tu, there’re paddock (yes i remember ada naik kuda masa datang kecik2 dulu), woodball, archery and boating. There’re also many trails… but i’m not interested so we just pass by. The only activity yang kitaorg dapat bwat ialah mini golf. Hahah!

We decided to stay at the Smokehouse from beginning. That’s what brought us here. Rumah penginapan ni mmg lain dari hotel standard yang lain. Ekceli, kat Fraser’s Hill ni lebih banyak banglo berbanding hotel. But after survey2, rasanya mmg Smokehouse paling besh la. It’s so english (may be not “so” but kat malaysia it is ). The feel of it is a typical English style living. The staffs are friendly and the Front Desk Manager (FDM) was really GREAT! I can still remember his name – Amjeed Hafiz. The rooms may appear old as they are. The FDM told us that all the furniture was there since 1920++.

We redeem our welcome drink during tea time (after having a long nap at the room… hehe).  Sayangnya, patut masa tu kami order cream tea. But sebab dah ada welcome drink, we juz add sandwich and fries. The sandwich damn mahal but the fries… wahla… cant say a word… mmg marveles (ke sebab lapa n sejuk?). Then, kami jalan-jalan menggunakan kaki sampai ke taman permainan kat bawah. Adventure la konon, padahal keta kena blok. Hehe. Oh lupa nak bitau, disebabkan sume tempat under renovation, sampai kedai souvenir pun pupus.

Our unplanned dinner turn out to be a lovely candlelight dinner. I’m so excited when the FDM pull out the chair for me, and then put the napkin on our lap. Maybe rezki kitaorg, sepanjang kat situ, kitaorg dapat dilayan oleh FDM sdnri. The dinner was great. I ordered Rib Eye Steak, medium. Boleh tahan sedap, the daging so lembut but i’m already full that time, so a bit rugi la. My hubby ordered Mixed Grill, n macam biasa even dia kata dia pun kenyang, pinggan dia tetap licin. Malam tu ujan lebat….

We sleep early that night as there’s nothing much to do. That’s how we managed to wake up early the next morning. Hehe. It sounds like raining outside but actually it’s juz the dew drop from the trees yang begitu banyak. So sejuk sampai cakap pun kuar asap. Jakun kejap. Compared to Cameron Highland, Fraser’s Hill ni mmg less develop, or mmg dorg nak maintain gitu. Yang best bila less develop ni, pokok2 banyak, hutan tebal, so sentiasa sejuk tak kira masa. Kalau kat Cameron, tengah hari sket je dah terik kan… but not Fraser’s Hill. Pukul 11 kabus masih ada (or awan… i stil believe it’s awan). Kul 1, cuaca stil like mendung2 gitu.

We were the first guest yang datang breakfast so the FDM suggest us to sit beside the window (port yang sgt best utk breakfast yang romantik ala-ala omputeh). It was an English breakfast, served dan bukan buffet macam hotel2 biasa. They serve us a slice of bread (roti potong yang rasanya dibwat sndri), croissant, sausage, baked bean and eggs cooked anyway you like. I choose scramble and my hubby cam biasa… omlette. Kalau amek scramble, they will add satu lagi roti. Air cam biasa la, coffee or tea plus juice, mango or orange. Oh heaven… i love the breakfast soooooo much esp roti dia yang lemak2 tu… Heaven! Heaven!

Pastu, kami jalan2 tanpa tujuan sampai ke pukul 12 siap2 utk turun. Good bye Fraser’s Hill, it was a pleasant stay and i’ll come again. (Surely after renovation siap ok! hehe)

P/s: Kat atas ni, takde petrol station n takde ATM machine ye. But should be no prob sgt sebab sepanjang kat atas, kita selalunya takkan pasang air cond.

Hahah… dah bape lama tergendala projek nak wat blog nih. Bertahun rasanya. Coz sibuk sgt nak bwat blog sendiri, means bukan guna any template cam blogspot etc. Sudahnya tak menjadi2 coz asik tergendala.

Puncanya last week sewa hosting kat bravehost. Tgk harga dia murah, so dgn tak pk panjang trus bayar. Memula tu ingat nak guna yang free account je. Yela, sblm ni guna google, ada popup kat tepi tuh, ee benci. Punyalah berzaman baru la last week terpk nak cari platform lain nak upload website. If guna free account kat bravehost tuh, ada header ngan footer plak. Tapi tu tade jadi hal. Yang jadi best sgt nk sewa hosting ni ialah coz ada database. Guna PHP MySQL plak tu. Ha, tu yang start bwat blog ni. Ni pun bodo je… pas n slowly nak upgrade bagi best. Hahah.

Mcm2 menda menarik berlaku lately n. Yang paling best ialah LI akan abes by this Friday. Wah la wei… so happy! Dah bosan gler. Pastu report dah antar last Saturday, and supervisor pun dah visit semalam. Huhuh, merdeka! Appraisal letter aku pegang plak tuh skang, ampes kan? Nak je aku bukak n baca. Tapi tak brani la plak. Saye n baik budaknya.

Pastu Saturday jugak g interview kije. Actually tade la brape ndak sgt ngan job tuh. Coz tak minat. So memula bagi alasan masih praktikal n just available on march. Tapi dorg panggil gak, hari sabtu pun takpe. Emm… g jela, kalu ada rezki, at least tade la aku dok tanam anggur after LI nih. Pas interview tu, esok ptg nye dorg call offer job tu. Dari segi pay tu bley diterima la… utk permulaan kira agak bagus. Tambah plak ada commission n increment yang bley tahan best after confirmation. Lain2 mmg ok. Kekurangannya it just a small company with fact that i have to work very very hard… hahaha. Tapi amek positive punya part, I’ll learn so many things shortly. I believe it.

Malam tadi gi sign offer letter kat company tu. Beriya le dorg suruh dtg jugak nak confirmkan. Sbb memula ckp bwat je la hari Sabtu akan dtg. Mmm… pape jelah. Tapi before sign tu memacam bos2 company tu explain (bos ada 2 org). My 1st impression, macam best je dorg n. Harap2 kekal cam tu lah kebest’n dorg tu. Hmm… settle urusan tu, g makan kat sushi king coz my husbby dah ngidam sgt. Hahha…

 

 

So insyaAllah, next Monday, i’ll start my job as an interactive media developer.
